We’re excited to announce that Sparrow has been acquired by Google!
We care a lot about how people communicate, and we did our best to provide you with the most intuitive and pleasurable mailing experience.
Now we’re joining the Gmail team to accomplish a bigger vision โ one that we think we can better achieve with Google.
This is a pretty big news, and honestly one that trully annoys me. I’ve been a Macbook pro user for only two months so i’ve only been using Sparrow for a month or so, but the app is good enough to make me sad over the fact that the app will not get any new features starting from now.
I’d feel pretty bummed if i bought the full version of Sparrow ($9.99) on the App Store today just to get this news. And apparently i’m not alone.
